The Black History of Ayden website aims to preserve and celebrate the heritage and contributions of the Black community in Ayden, North Carolina. This website serves as a research hub for education and remembrance, with exhibits and galleries highlighting the Black community and its history. The hope is that residents, historians, educators, and anyone interested in learning about the history of Ayden will use this website and enjoy the contents within. If given more time, energy, or resources, this project could be expanded to include more historical themes in Ayden and include oral histories and collaborations with local organizations.
