The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Powwow
The Carolina Indian Circle is the undergraduate Native American student organization at UNC. The Circle was founded in 1974 to build a support network for Native American students and to share our beautiful culture with the Carolina community.
The Circle’s foundation is to support students academically and socially by providing a positive atmosphere and a sense of community, and in our vision the Circle aims to educate the university community and the general public by ensuring that Native American cultural heritage is recognized and respected at UNC through appropriate curriculum, research, administrative support, cultural events and increased Native American representation in the faculty and staff.
