Description
Photograph taken by A.O. Clement in 1907. The photo was taken of her at 94 years old to raise money for her, as she was unable to continue working as Goldsboro's baby nurse because of her age. The photo was sold for .25 cents. Eliza was the first black person to be buried in Willowdale Cemetery, a white cemetery in Goldsboro. Her grave marker was donated by the white community she served. The original image is on exhibit at the Wayne County Museum.
