Description

This collection is for library science students seeking knowledge from experienced professionals working in the field. The collection contains interviews of professional librarians serving in a variety of roles in academic libraries. The interviewees offer support and guidance to library science students as they discuss their own paths to becoming professional librarians. Interviewees include Katy Webb Director of Yale access services at Yale University, Eboni Johnson who serves as Oberlin College Libraries’ outreach and programming librarian, Amanda McLellan ECU’s Assistant Director for discovery and technology services, Erin Stalberg who serves as MIT libraries’ associate director for collections, and Maud Mundava the director of the Cleveland State Community College Library in Cleveland, TN. The interviews feature discussions on current issues facing the field of librarianship including systemic racism, the impact of COVID-19, and organizational structure in libraries.
