The Dreamers Movement
"The #DREAMers movement works in relation to politics, constantly urging political figures to support immigration reforms. It focuses on social issues relating to immigration and minority rights and, at-large, reflects on the effects of grassroots movements."

The Dreamers Movement is commited to fighting for immigrants rights. They became well known in the early 2000s. People affiliated with this group pushed for the Dream Act to be passed, but this ultimately did not happen. However, over ten years later, the Obama administration established DACA. This was a step in the right direction and alsom allowed for the Dreamers movement to have more national recognition.
Unfortunately, the country took a step (who are we kidding, more than one) in the wrong direction during Trump's presidency. The Trump administration rescinded DACA in 2017. It is heartbreaking to see things like this continuing to happen in order to try to push immigrants out of this country. There is so much data that supports the fact that we NEED immigrants here in order to succeed.
