What is March for Our Lives?
March for Our Lives was originally a huge singular protest that took place on March 24th, 2018 in Washington, D.C. It was a student-led organized protest to bring awareness to gun violence and push for stronger gun control in the United States to prevent school shootings.
March for Our Lives has since developed into many protests all across the United States, with hundreds of thousands of participants.
Mission of March for Our Lives
The overall goal of the movement is to end gun violence entirely.
On their official website, March for Our Lives states that their mission is to "aim to create safe and healthy communities and livelihoods where gun violence is obsolete."

The Impact of March for Our Lives
According to March for Our Lives' website, since MFOL began...
- There has been more than two-hundred and fifty gun safety laws implemented.
- There has been a significant increase in the turnout of younger voters at the polls.
- Gun safety programs have received an estimated billions of dollars in funding.
- Some federal gun safety legislation has been passed.
