Why should you be concened about rising temperatures?
Rising temperatures pose a risk to public health. As temperatures rise it can lead to heat-related illnesses and deaths.
They also pose a significant risk economically. Rising temps have negative impacts on industries like argiculture, tourism, and outdoor recreation. Which leads to job loss and economic instabiltiy in effected areas.
Natural Disasters are more liekly to occur as well like hurricanes, floods, and wildfires. These occurances cause severe damage and displace communties.
These are only a few of the effects.
Recent threat to Climate Justice Progress
While Biden has taken many steps toward addressing Climate Change and Justice since taken office like rejoining the Paris Agreement, promoting clean energy, setting emissions standards for vechicles, etc. He has also recently signed off on The Willow Project, a huge threat to Climate justice.

What can you do?
- Support Renewable energy: Such as wind and solar power in order to reduse reliance on fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Reducing waste: Landfills produce methane, which is a extremely harmful greenhouse gas.
- Use resuable products, recycle, compost, etc.
- Conserve Water Use: When we watch our water use we reduce our energy use and in turn we reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- We can limit shower time, fix leaky pipes, don't let wter run when not using, etc.
