Pi Kappa Phi

Beta Phi 73. Made many friends that I am still in touch with to this day. Took a lot of flak for being a 'Yankee.' Thought everyone there was a baseball fan??? Graduated May 1967 and less than 30 days later reported to Webb AFB, Big Spring, TX, for Air Force pilot training, compliments of four years in AFROTC. Spend eight years on active duty, two in Vietnam, and sixteen more in the Missouri Air National Guard. Numerous exciting experiences, including ejecting from a burning F4 in 1987. Retired as a Continental Airlines captain on the 8737. In July, celebrated our 50th anniversary. Have two grown children with two grandkids. I tell folks that my first year in Greenville, I was so homesick I counted the days until I could get home. After joining Pi Kappa Phi and making new friends, my folks could not get me to come home. Nothing but wonderful memories of my time at ECU. I have been blessed.
