Life Sciences and Biotechnology Building
East Carolina University’s Life Sciences and Biotechnology Building was designed by Lord Aeck Sargent and opened in 2021. It houses the Department of Biology, the Eastern Region Pharma Center, and advanced labs supporting biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biophysics, environmental sciences, and more. The building supports ECU’s nationally competitive biochemical engineering program, which boasts 100% job placement. It was designed in a student-centric way with input from faculty to support hands-on learning. (New Life Sciences and Biotechnology Building, 2024)
