Clubs and After School Activites

This gallery focuses on different clubs and after school activities at South Ayden High School during the 30s to 60s. These clubs include orchestra, band, crown and scepter club, g.o. club, the safety patrol force, smart and thrifty group¸ and the faculty dramatic group.

Some after school clubs you maybe unfamiliar with that were at South Ayden are the crown and scepter club which was an honor society for senior students. Safety patrol force was a club that allowed students to ensure the safety of their fellow students in the hallways during passing periods as well as when the school day was over, and students were heading home. This club made sure the school environment was safe and that people were getting to classes on time. Lastly the smart and thrifty group at South Ayden was a home economic club teaching girl’s handiwork skills. Along with these groups for students there was a faculty dramatic group for the staff of South Ayden. During South Ayden High Schools years of operation there were many different clubs for its students to choose from.
