Main Campus Student Center

The Main Campus Student Center opened in 2019 with great fanfare. The facility is sustainably designed (Sustainability Plan, 2018). Inside, it houses six popular dining venues, the Dowdy Student Store, a 14,000-square-foot ballroom, the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center, the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center, the Military and Veterans Resource Center, Black Box Theater, and general seating, meeting rooms, or offices for student organizations. It was designed by the Perkins+Will business. Its modern engineering features include electrochromatic windows, radiant heating, and rainwater reuse systems. (Main Campus Student Center, 2025)
