Reflection
I chose this meme of the lady spraying Lysol because at beginning of the pandemic, I
remembered just going crazy with spraying Lysol on any and everything to make sure it was all
disinfected. I also found the humor behind this meme because whenever going out into stores
in the beginning of the pandemic and anyone would cough or sneeze, especially without having
a mask on, my automatic thought would be “Where’s my Lysol?”. Sometimes I would go to the
level of spraying myself with Lysol after entering the house just to be on the safe side in case I
came into contact with the virus while being out. Still being in the unknown about how Covid19 was transferred from person to person, my family couldn’t take the risk because of how
severe it could affect each of us. The only way we could help protect ourselves besides wearing

masks, was to make disinfecting another priority of ours. Which is where having cans of
disinfecting spray and wipes came in handy.
When the government was enforcing the 6 feet apart self-distancing rule, most stores
would have little round stickers placed on the ground to show where to stand in line. Although
it was clearly shown where to stand to keep others at a safe distance apart, there would always
be a few people who felt they were exceptions to not having to keep the right distances
between each other. When I would experience this, I could imagine myself like the lady in plaid
in the meme because if they’re going to stand that close to me, at least I know they are
disinfected but also it would be a funny reaction to get someone to back up out of my space.
