Title
Imitate an Artwork
Description
For this project my process was first figuring out what piece of artwork I wanted to imitate. There were so many good ones but I finally came across one I liked and felt I could do. I picked two flowers and used a necklace across my forehead. I used a good amount of blush and red lipstick to really capture what was in the artwork. To take the photograph I set my phone up and put a timer on.

The artist whose work I imitated was Wladyslaw Theodor Benda illustration from Hearst's international 1924. I chose this specific piece of art because I felt like I could execute imitating it quite well. This artwork aesthetically appealed to me. I wouldn't say it was easy because trying to get the right angle and pose.

This project was pretty creative to me after viewing some of the other students' work. Mine wasn't the most creative but it was on point if I do say so myself. I feel as if this was a fun and good project to do during the pandemic.

This was created as an assignment for Susan Ludeke's ART 1910: Art Appreciation. It was done as part of the Getty Museum Challenge, which was created by the museum to keep people engaged during the pandemic.
